Sara and I sat on a hillside in Wyoming photographing rocks in the evening light when a hawk started spiraling around us. I snapped on the long lens and spent many minutes trying to capture him midflight and in focus. I got this shot and one other.

. . . where the deer and the antelope play — until Dad shoots them and we eat them. Here in Williston, ND the youngsters are being inducted into North Dakota ways:
